After graduating with a Degree with Distinction, Magna Cum Laude , Phi Beta Kappa from Queens College, I received my master’s degree from Adelphi University. In 2010, I also obtained my Certificate in Health Coaching because of my passion for the mind-body connection on emotional wellness.
In my early career, I worked with some of the most traumatized kids in New York at a residential treatment facility. I had a knack for bringing troubled teens back to the facility, being able to talk with them and understanding them. I have also created wellness workshops and prevention programs that inspired and transformed thousands of seniors throughout my career. In 2010, I started my own business and since then have been focused on working with adults, specializing in anxiety and trauma.
In 2010, I dedicated my career to immersing myself in an integrative blend of research driven trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment theory, Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness Based Practices, Complex trauma, Somatic Experiencing, and so much more.
I continue to be directly involved in the work not only by treating clients in my practice but also clinically supervising dozens of clinicians from walks of life. I am deeply inspired by the work of Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk, Dr. Peter Levine, Dr. David Grand, Dr. Stephen Porges, Deb Dana, LCSW, Dr. Janina Fisher, Dr. Arielle Schwartz, Dr. Brene Brown, and Dr. Judith Beck.
My practice has grown over the years and now I work in tandem with other professionals, offering a wider variety of services for clients and licensed therapists. I’ve been featured in Cosmopolitan magazine, Marie Claire, Psychology Today, Women’s Health, MEL magazine, and Reader’s Digest. I also serve on the Advisory Board for the CPTSD Foundation.
